We'll Meet Again
01. Romance Contest.
Summer 1942. Brussels, Belgium.
American Private First Class Henry Morgan is on a well-deserved 3 day leave. At 24, Henry is a typical boy-next-door, clean cut & always a gentleman. As he ventures into town, he thinks about his care-free days back in Chicago. He finds a cafe for a quick bite to eat. As he finds his way inside, he happens to catch a glimpse of the most beautiful girl he has ever seen, working behind the counter. Henry immediately thought, "She is going to be my wife."
That beautiful brunette is 18 year old, Alexandra Linn. Her family owns the cafe and they live above it. As she finishes up with the other customer, she notices Henry, in uniform, sitting alone. "He must be American...and is quite lovely in uniform," she thought to herself. She felt butterflies in her belly & her heart was racing as she made her way over to him.
"Would you like coffee or tea?"
Henry found himself waiting around the cafe, soaking up her beauty & hoping to ask her on a proper date. He felt silly, as he never was this forward with a girl. Time was moving too quickly for him, so he felt it was now or never.
Meanwhile, Alexandra tried to keep calm, hoping to hide her curiosity.
A little while later, her shift ends & she heads out to enjoy the rest of the afternoon. She noticed Henry follow her out.
"Um, excuse me, miss, hello, my name is Henry Morgan. I'm only going to be in town for a couple of days...would you like to join me for dinner this evening?"
Alexandra, answered without hesitation, "Yes, please! I am Alexandra Linn. It is very nice to meet you. It is a beautiful day. Would you like to go for a bike ride?" Henry held out hand to her & said, "Let's go!"
Henry & Alexandra spent almost all of their waking hours together during his leave. They were head over heels in love. They made a pact not to talk about "that day." Then, in a blink, the day came to say goodbye. They shed tears & promised to write to each other everyday. Wistfully they both wished they could put the time they spent together in a bottle...Both wondered how they would go on without each other."I love you, darling. We'll meet again..."
Soundtrack: We'll Meet Again - Vera Lynn
The short story was inspired by WWII love letters.

Queen of Hearts
Great Queens In History.
"I'd like to be queen of people's hearts." ~Diana, Princess of Wales.
Soundtrack: I Vow To Thee My Country - Libera.
One of POW's favorite hymns that was played at both her wedding & funeral services.
Diana, Princess of Wales (Diana Frances; née Spencer; 1 July 1961 – 31 August 1997) was the first wife of Charles, Prince of Wales, the eldest son and heir apparent of Queen Elizabeth II.
She was well known for her fund-raising work for international charities and as an eminent celebrity of the late 20th century. Her wedding to the Prince of Wales on 29 July 1981 was held at St Paul's Cathedral and seen by a global television audience of over 750 million. While married she bore the titles Princess of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, Duchess of Rothesay, Countess of Chester and Baroness of Renfrew. The marriage produced two sons, the princes William and Harry, who became second and third in line to the British throne.
Diana was born into an aristocratic English family with royal ancestry. She was the fourth child of John Spencer, 8th Earl Spencer and his wife Frances, daughter of Maurice Roche, 4th Baron Fermoy. She became a public figure with the announcement of her engagement. She also received recognition for her charity work and for her support of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines. From 1989, she was the president of the Great Ormond Street Hospital for children, in addition to dozens of other charities. In April 1987, the Princess of Wales was the first high profile celebrity & member of the BRF to be photographed touching a person infected with the HIV virus. When the Princess spoke out with simple but practical words about HIV, she helped reduce stigma and the world took notice. "HIV does not make people dangerous to know, so you can shake their hands and give them a hug. Heaven knows they need it", she said.Diana remained the object of worldwide media scrutiny during and after her marriage, which ended in divorce on 28 August 1996. Media attention and public mourning were considerable following her death in a car crash in Paris on 31 August 1997.
As a result of her divorce from Prince Charles in 1996, her style of H.R.H. was removed from her title. Prince William comforted his mother, and he was said to have wanted to let her have the style of Her Royal Highness again. He was reported to have said: "Don't worry, Mummy, I will give it back to you one day when I am King."

Troubled Waters.
Soundtrack: Out Of The Shadows - Sarah McLachlan.
(McLachlan)
"Out Of The Shadows"

Crouching down inside a deep ravine
Those angry cries pass quickly by, he can't be seen
So many ways spent hiding in so many undone plans
Forgetting what it's like to fight when no one understands
Close call there in the shadows
There's a fear in the dark
There's one out there
All those memories, pain and anger, flood back one by one
They must be just around the bend, they always come
At night as I lay sleeping they come to me in herds
Their lies remain, the dreams the same, it's only fleeting words
No one calls there in the shadows
There's no end to the dark
But there's one out there, no one but me....
The hours pass so slowly, the life's slipping out of me
No way's the right way. Is there a way out for me?
My life's slipping out...
Rising up, the night is done, and now the bright lights come
Held back in my pitied world where everything's undone
A cold wind blows right through me, I'm made a hollow shell
There's nothing left, just ash remains, enrich the soil, no soil, no soil...
Close call there in the shadows
There's an end to the dark
'Cause there's someone out there
Someone like me...
The hours pass so slowly, the life's slipping out of me
No way's the right way, is there a way out for me
The hours pass so slowly
The life's slipping out of me
Is there a way out for me?
The hours pass so slowly
The life's slipping out of me
Is there a way out for me?
There must be a way out for me...

be still
Troubled Waters.
Sountrack: Storm - Lifehouse

"Be still, and know that I am God!" Psalm 46:10.

How long have I been in this storm?
So overwhelmed by the ocean's shapeless form
Water's getting harder to tread
With these waves crashing over my head

If I could just see you
Everything would be alright
If I'd see you
This darkness would turn to light

And I will walk on water
And you will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
I know everything will be alright
I know everything is alright

I know you didn't bring me out here to drown
So why am I ten feet under and upside down?
Barely surviving has become my purpose
'Cause I'm so used to living underneath the surface

If I could just see you
Everything would be alright
If I'd see you
This darkness would turn to light

And I will walk on water
And you will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
I know everything will be alright

And I will walk on water
And you will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
I know everything will be alright
I know everything is alright

Everything's alright
Everything's alright

I Want My MTV
TV & Movie Theme Song.
MTV doesn't really have a theme song, so I chose
Dire Straight's, " Money for Nothing (I want my MTV)."
I've also added The Buggles', "Video Killed The Radio Star," which happens to be the first video played during MTV's launch on 8/1/81.
Pls. click on the soundtrack.

T.V. /Movie Theme Song.
Soundtrack: Imagine & (Just Like) Starting Over -
John Lennon.
Imagine: John Lennon is a 1988 documentary film about English musician John Lennon.
Imagine: John Lennon, with its wealth of stock Lennon footage and self-narration, proved to be a well-received film. Bridging his two musical phases together as a member of The Beatles and as a solo artist, Imagine: John Lennon is a career-spanning collection of Lennon's many musical highlights. In addition, there are a couple of heretofore unreleased recordings: an acoustic demo of "Real Love" taped in 1979 (an alternate recording of which would be finished by The Beatles for 1996' s Anthology 2) and a rehearsal take of "Imagine" in mid-1971 before the final take was captured.
